To view the next-in-line video, simply swipe up. Hence there's no need to go back once a Short has been played entirely and select from the carousel of Shorts. The content is meant to be viewed quickly. You will see a section titled 'Shorts.' If you tap on any video under this section, it will play full-screen. Open the YouTube app on your device and scroll down the main page to view Shorts.
